Tampa detectives raided a gentleman’s club Thursday evening and arrested 11 people. The suspects are charged with a range of different crimes, including racketeering and drug possession.
Detectives raided the Risque Gentleman’s Club, located at 900 N Dale Mabry Hwy, around 9 p.m. Thursday.
“The raid was the culmination of an undercover investigation that began in October of 2015,” a Tampa Police Department spokesperson said.
When the investigation began the club was called Ponytails. “The investigation involved more than 50 separate undercover operations and resulted in two search warrants and several arrest warrants,” the spokesperson said.
The club was the site of illegal drug transactions, detectives said. Club owner Loannis Pahoumis was arrested at his New Port Richey home Thursday. A photo of Pahoumis was not yet available.
The FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, the Florida Attorney General’s Office and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation and arrests.
Those arrested face charges ranging from drug possession to racketeering, the agency said.
